Coping with Loneliness

Thursday, January 5th, 2012

I first started writing my travelogue when I was on holidays on my own. It was the first time I had travelled alone and I was finding it difficult to cope with loneliness. I’m not a people’s person but I do enjoy spending time with my friends and family every now and then. At first I thought it was a stupid idea because nobody would be interested in what I had to say but as I don’t really care if others want to know about me I decided to write my first post. It was a lovely experience and I found it really easy to put my feeling into words and to tell things in a way I had never done before. When the trip was over I was not sure whether to continue writing or not and since I had a few visitors I made the decision to keep them updated about my situation. What began as a hobby is now my full-time job.

Hammock Camping Makes Sense for Bushcraft

Sunday, December 18th, 2011

Hammock camping makes sense to every bushcraft enthusiast because it enables the camper to have a closer exposure to nature. There is nothing like sleeping in a hammock under the stars. Hammocks are comfortable, flexible and easy to carry and deploy. A simple shelter over the hammock is a good idea. This can be constructed from natural materials gathered around the campsite or from a light weight tarp. Either way the less enclosing it is the better in my opinion. I want to look up from my snug sleeping place and see nothing but stars and moon. This puts me in the right frame of mind to cope with the challenges of the day ahead in the most natural way possible. It enables me to simplify tasks so that they can be performed with the kit that iI have in my survival tin and whatever I can find around me. The good nights sleep that a hammock makes possible is invaluable!

Fun Vacation Ideas That Are Not Far Away

Wednesday, October 19th, 2011

For most people, they are always fun things to do near the place they live. The problem is we usually think that these activities are too close to home and that we can do them next time so we just put off doing these things indefinitely. If you notice, when we visit people who are overseas or out of state, they would take us to see the interesting local sights and places that they themselves almost never gotten around to do it themselves. We usually take for granted the enjoyable things that are in our own backyard figuratively speaking.

This should give you a hint that there might be fun filled vacation ideas near the place you’re staying as well. There might be some local dish you haven’t tried, or a restaurant you’ve never been to. A vacation like this, also knows as a staycation is getting popular and you can do it all year round because it’s easy on the budget.

No Fees Charged for a Chinese Visa Service

Sunday, July 31st, 2011

Chinese visa service is getting cheaper day by day because Chinese know the demand for their country and how much people want to come to China and do some work therefore they are now offering free visa services to people around the world. Indirectly or directly, they are giving the best to China and China is taking advantage of this. Therefore, China has also lowered the Chinese visa service fees because they are now well aware of the fact that people are dying to work in China, and they are offering them handsome salaries as well. That is why they have changed their policy and removed fees from visa application and now it is done on very a low and necessary amount that is really needed for the passport like pictures photocopies etc. They will be charged but rests of the things are absolutely free that means you just need to go there and have a better career. But you should be physically fit because Chinese are very much concerned about their health and also their country’s people.

Warnings and Dangers to Watch out for on the Island of Boracay

Monday, July 18th, 2011

Staying safe and prepared is one of the important considerations while traveling in any location in the world and going to Boracay is no different. It is important that travelers check if they have brought their essential items like medicine, clothes and personal items. There are shops on the island where you can acquire these things but aside from spending outside of your budget, it is time consuming.

Another good tip is to be always mindful of what you eat and drink since a trip to the emergency room of the hospital will ruin your vacation. Tourists should always put on sunblock to protect themselves from the glare of the sun. Before going to the beach or anywhere on the island, tourists must remember to secure their important belongings like laptops or cameras to avoid any lost items.

If the hotel that they are staying in has a safety box, then they can place their valuables inside it. In any water activity, tourists must remember to wear a life vest just in case they are thrown out in the water. Last but not the least, visitors should not take home a portion of Boracay’s white sand since it is not allowed and anyone caught will have to pay a fine.

One of the Finest

Thursday, May 26th, 2011

When a company can provide a variety of services, at a great price, they deserve recognition from their clients. I wanted to take this time to congratulate http://www.nyshipping.com/ on being one of the finest companies I ever worked with.

I am a buyer for an overseas corporation that works exclusively in the United States. I am required to make very large shipments overseas to meet the demands of my company. These shipments can range from simple packed boxes to automobiles.

When I discovered NY Shipping I was pleased to see that they could handle all my shipping requirements, regardless of size, shape or speed of delivery. They have always shown integrity and professionalism. I have never had a shipment lost, damaged or late.

Most people only stop to report negative experiences with a company as a way to vent their anger. I disagree with this method. I think you should devote equal time to praise a company for an excellent job when they deserve the praise.

South Africa Wild Animals and Gold Mines

Thursday, May 26th, 2011

Summer holidays are nearly upon us so it is time to book up a holiday to a far flung place. Johannesburg is a city in South Africa and is a draw card for those people that want to visit a city that is quite different or you may want to fly there as a stepping stone to visit South Africa’s many varied national parks. Whatever your interests areJohannesburgis worth a look. Once you have booked a flight it is a good idea to book a gatwick hotel with parking to ensure your car will be there when you get back.

The growth of the city all began in the 1880′s when an Australian discovered gold and as what often happened when gold was found anywhere hordes of wealth seekers found there way to this area not realising that what they were about to stumble on was an area with a massive stock of gold.

In more recent history there was the rise and fall of apartheid in South Africaand a visit to the Apartheid Museumis a reminder of the region’s chequered history. No historical facts are hidden in this museum and there are examples of weapons on display that the police used against the black population in those apartheid days. The massive photographs on the museum’s walls are a black reminder of those violent days as well.

If cuisine is one of your favourite pastimes then a visit to the Soweto food festival shouldn’t be missed. It is a place where international as well as local food can be sampled without actually going to those countries. Cafes serve up food from different regions ofSouth Africa as well.

Mining history is in evidence in the area and it is possible to make a short excursion to the deepest gold mine in the world and take a lift into the heart of the mine. At Gold Reef city, six kilometres outside Johannesburg, there is more historical information on mining and there is also inexpensive gold and silver jewellery available for purchase. You can also enjoy daily performances of live music in the town’s central square.

Once the city attractions have been visited then it is time to visit one of South Africa’s most famous national parks which is called Kruger National Park. After all, a visit to Africa is not complete unless a lion has been spotted in the wild. A visit to this well protected park will allow you to view a huge range of wildlife including rhino, elephant, giraffe and lion. A tour can be arranged including accommodation through any travel agent in the city. Cars and four wheel drives can be rented and driven into the park as well. There is a wide range of accommodation available from tented camps to luxury lodges. If it is a first visit to South Africa then a one week holiday would easily be enough to sample what South Africa has to offer.

Follow Your Nose

Thursday, May 19th, 2011

To give driving directions isn’t that tough. Please, whatever you do though, don’t give landmarks as reference points when they don’t exist. You know what I’m talking about. You try to find some place, but can’t so you pull over to a gas station and ask kindly how to get to your destination. However, the gentleman behind the counter, who’s lived there for over 20 years, tells you to get there by turning left at the McDonald’s that used to be there 15 years ago. Or the old house with green shutters that was torn down last summer. And at first you don’t think much of it. You’re feeling confident that you’ll be over figure out where that old house with green shutters used to be. Then, you get lost. Your girlfriend is in the car with you and she’s glaring at you like you are the biggest fool in the world. That’s when you’ll be really angry with that gas station worker.

Traveling with Children and the Protocols

Saturday, March 26th, 2011

The tricky thing about travelling with your children is that the laws governing them are very different from those guiding the adults. I and my family had to travel for holiday last year and we went to this travel agency who told us what to do. We did all he told us to do and went confidently to the embassy were we were rejected. I cam e back to her and asked her why she did not tell us that our one year old son needed a passports for children. She explained that the reason for this was that she did not know that the law had been revised to include that. She said over the years that children under two years do not need a passport and that they pay half the ticket fare at the airport. We went through a lot but we eventually got the passport for our son and went back to the embassy after stating our reason to travel, the embassy gave us the visas we applied for. We travelled to five countries and had the best time of our lives.

Taking Regular Holidays Are As Important As Work

Thursday, August 19th, 2010

In today’s hectic life, it is very rare for people to be able to go and relax on a holiday. Jim and Jenny were no exception. They hadn’t been on a holiday for the past 3 years, because they were both very busy at work. Busy work schedule always clashed with their holiday plans. They even had a 6 month old baby now. Jenny suggested to Jim that this year they should make the most of his leave and make some holiday plans. She had taken a break from work as well. They began to do some research on various places to visit and decided on Tukey. It occurred to them that before making any plans they need to apply for their baby’s passport. They filled out the baby passports uk form online and submitted it at the passport office. Within a week of submission, the new passport was delivered to them. Next, they applied for a visa to Turkey and prepared for the same. After all their bookings were confirmed, they looked forward to their much awaited family vacation.

I Think I Will Make A Decision And Go To A Place I Have Always Thought Of Going To!

Thursday, July 15th, 2010

I had heard all about Thailand from a friend and would love to go one day but I have a phobia of needles and not sure if I would have to have any if I went there, maybe it would be worth finding out about as I have been asked if I would like to go there next year. I think I could be brave enough to get the needles if they were to take my mind off me having them, it’s just the horrible thought of it going in to my arm that I do not like! I know plenty of people who are afraid so I don’t feel as if I am being sill of anything! I also have to find out if I will need to get a thailand visa as I do not want to leave everything until the last-minute! That’s usually the case when you do that, leave everything until last to do and that is when problems can start and I want to be organised so I don’t have to worry about anything!
